News and the Internet
June is the time for our annual luncheon on Freedom of Information. Join us as we discuss the world of blogs, online content, and how media is evolving through the Internet.
Our speakers are from The Pantagraph newspaper. Michael Freimann, online editor, and Troy Clark, target media editor, will discuss the changing face of disseminating information with the rise of the Internet in the media and what challenges come with managing blogs and comment pages for the newspaper's online site.

Michael Freimann has been with The Pantagraph in Bloomington for more than a decade, working as a copy editor, reporter, and design editor before becoming the newspaper's first online editor in January 2006. He oversees content development for the award-winning Pantagraph.com, including the elements of community involvement, such as reader comments, user-submitted content and Web logs.

Troy Clark started with The Pantagraph in Bloomington in 1998 as a copy editor. In the last decade, he's coordinated the production and editing of the news and sports sections, served as design editor and is currently the target media editor, responsible for a variety of publications and special sections, including the magazines, TC Style and B2B, and their associated web sites.
